Thursday Night Group Ride. Oh yeah!!!
We have a great weekly group Thursday night ride we do in the Denver Front Range Area. We had 14 riders show up this week. Did a trail called Aldefer/3 Sisters in Evergreen, CO.. We started on the north side of Evergreen Lake and rode another connector trail called Dedise trail which is about 3 miles away. The 2:45 ride ended up being 12 miles and 2300 feet of climbing.

Here is a pic of the group before heading out

and another of part of the group waiting for the rest to get a flat repaired and catch up

Here is a little video of the payoff for all that climbing

Snow Ride
Finally been feeling like Winter along the Front Range. Got out after the last storm of 18 inches to see if the hikers had stomped down the trail for us. It is like riding a tight rope on the way up. About a 8 inch wide path that is rideable if you can stay on it. Get off the track and you are up to your knees in powder. Trying to get going again can be really frustrating. Coming back down is just a tricky! Only if you get of the packed track you are usually going over the bars.

How low can you go??
From a new customer in Anchorage, Alaska

"Glad to have your light on my head as my other one crapped out early on. This is getting towards the “fun / no fun” temperature limit for me. At these temps there is a lot of rolling resistance in the system – stiff tires, thick grease, Michelin-man clothes and general lack of initiative all of which conspire to make you feel even more out of condition than you are."
